Interval One Launches with Scarlet Topley and Ed Ruscha Dialogue
This summer, London will host Interval One, an annual exhibition curated by David and Jacob Gryn. The first show, titled Lorette, is set to open on 18th July 2026 and will showcase the works of Scarlet Topley, a graduate of the Ruskin School of Art, alongside American artist Ed Ruscha. Topley’s creations, developed over a two-year period, delve into themes of Americana and yearning, drawing inspiration from Ruscha’s artistic style. The exhibition's name, Lorette, alludes to a note from Topley’s sister regarding a café tablecloth associated with 19th-century sex workers. A key feature will be a replica of Topley’s studio in North London. Lorette will be on display from 18th July to 5th September 2026, with a private viewing on 16th July. Topley graduated in 2026 and received the Erna Plachte Award in 2025.
