Inside Out: Olmo Gasperini and Anastasia Norenko at Von Büren Contemporary

The two-person exhibition 'Inside Out' by Roman painters Olmo Gasperini and Anastasia Norenko opened at Von Büren Contemporary in Rome, running from June 4 to July 2, 2026. Curated by Michele von Büren with critical text by Anna Gasperini, the show explores a polarity between interior and exterior space. Gasperini's works focus on closed, lived-in interiors with opaque, melancholic color patterns, while Norenko's paintings depict open, mythic landscapes with lysergic brightness. The exhibition draws on Mario Perniola's concept of 'transito' (transit) as a synchronous movement from present to present, and on Nietzsche's 'amor fati' as an affirmative attitude toward reality. The artists aim to sharpen perceptual gaze, dilating time and space, and co-belonging of inside and outside.
