Inéditad Gallery Presents 'Mientras Tanto' in Madrid, Exploring Time and Hyperconnectivity

Inéditad Gallery returns to Madrid with the group exhibition 'Mientras Tanto,' running from September 8 to 19, 2026, at Galería Nueva on Calle Valencia, timed to coincide with Apertura Madrid Gallery Weekend. The show features four figurative artists—Adrián GoMa, Carmen Mansilla, Eduardo Urdiales, and Ismael Cervantes—working in painting and drawing. Their works examine what happens while life is subjected to constant hyperconnectivity, a consumer society demanding permanent productivity, infinite scrolling with nonstop image consumption, and the fear of missing out (FOMO). The exhibition invites viewers to reconcile with time, particularly their own time, which the gallery describes as always having been on their side. Art historian and cultural communicator Eugenia Tenenbaum wrote the curatorial text, joining the project to help dismantle conventional understandings of time. In that text, Tenenbaum states that the four artists open the possibility of a dialogue pivoting around both the challenges and the possibilities of resistance that the current time offers. She notes that questions of complementary opposites are inescapable, with themes such as solitude, companionship, and collectivized individuality running through the proposals, affecting viewers through recognition or longing for what is before them. The exhibition is curated by Eugenia Tenenbaum and takes place at Inéditad Gallery within the Galería Nueva space on Calle Valencia, Madrid.
