Illustrator Charis Tsevis has produced a collection of mosaic artworks for Bleacher Report during the 2019 NBA Finals. The project involved creating portraits and video pieces featuring prominent players from the two competing teams. Tsevis, who originates from Paphos in Cyprus, developed these works using actual geographical maps of Ontario and Oakland as foundational elements. This artistic approach was intended to visually represent the connection between the athletes and their home cities. The illustrations were shared publicly while the championship series was ongoing, generating attention during the basketball event. Tsevis has previously had his distinctive artwork featured on the design platform ABDZ. The mosaic technique employed requires significant effort to execute successfully.
