Illulian and Marc Sadler Present Everglades Carpet at Milan Design Week 2026

At Milan Design Week 2026, Illulian unveils Everglades, a customizable carpet designed by Marc Sadler. Inspired by an aerial view of Florida's Everglades National Park, the piece translates the ecosystem's rivers, canals, and vegetation into a textile composition of green tones and subtle gradients. The carpet appears monochromatic at first glance, but artisanal craftsmanship reveals complex transparencies, gradations, and nearly imperceptible tonal shifts that create depth and movement. This project underscores Illulian's technical mastery and positions the carpet as a narrative surface rather than mere decoration. The launch coincides with the 89th edition of Glocal Design Magazine, titled "Visionarias del espacio," which features 15 female architects and interior designers expanding the conversation on architecture, design, and interiorism in Mexico. The magazine includes two collector covers by Prince Láuder and Jimena Estíbaliz.
