iHouse estudio Completes 158 m² Casa Anja in La Barra Pine Forest, Punta del Este

Casa Anja, a 158 m² holiday home by iHouse estudio, was completed in 2023 in La Barra, Punta del Este, Uruguay, sited within a pine forest. Andrés García and Marcelo Mederos served as lead architects on the project, which was curated by Valentina Díaz and photographed by Aldo Lanzi. Products from Vibia, Aluminions del Uruguay, Maguinor Maderas, Manto and SILESTONE were used in the build. Designed as a retreat for a family across summer months, winter breaks and weekend getaways, the house treats the existing vegetation as the starting point for the design rather than as a constraint, establishing a direct relationship with the landscape. The project falls under the houses category and was published by ArchDaily, with a Spanish-language original version available.
