architecture-design · 2026-09-14

Designed by Carolina Estelles, a biodegradable module, which is transported on horseback and embedded with native flora, seeks to restore degraded soil along the Salado River in Argentina. This initiative is part of ten projects from the Master in Interior Design program at IE School of Architecture and Design, overseen by Andrea Caruso. Other notable projects include Nyah Nassif's redesign of the Renwick Smallpox Hospital, Isabel Dorn's eco-friendly structures at Lake San Pablo, Arianna Castro's modular Scaffold Commons in Lima, Vasco Amado's rooftop care typology at Hospital La Paz, Lila Gaffney's music school in Marseille, Aishwarya Geetharani's airport waiting area reimagining, Francesca Torres's textile initiatives in Cusco, Ismela Marie Ruiz's tensegrity speakers in Panama, and Camila Chahin's flood-adaptive residences in Honduras. The school's exhibition collaborates with Dezeen.
