Hyrox's Biggest Races: From London to the World Championships

Hyrox, founded in 2017 by Moritz Fürste and Christian Toetzke, has grown from a single Hamburg race into a global fitness circuit. The standardized format—eight one-kilometer runs interspersed with eight functional fitness stations in a fixed order—allows times to be compared across cities. Major races include London at ExCeL, New York at Madison Square Garden, Chicago, Dallas, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Anaheim, Las Vegas, Manchester, Birmingham, and Amsterdam. The season culminates in the Hyrox World Championships, held recently in Nice, France, where qualification is required. The sport's expansion is driven by venue scale, local gym networks, and registration demand. Each race weekend features open, pro, age-group, doubles, and relay divisions. The World Championships includes the Elite 15, an invited field of top professionals. Hyrox continues to grow across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.
