Hyperballad Brings Sound Art to Turin's Villa della Regina Gardens
Hyperballad, curated by Sara d'Alessandro Manozzo, will be held at Villa della Regina in Turin from 22 October to 8 November 2026. This exhibition showcases sound-based art from Caterina Gobbi, Ramona Ponzini, Diana Sonetto, and Marzio Zorio, drawing inspiration from Björk's 1996 song and examining alternative connections with nature. Gobbi presents Convergenza armonica (2025), which incorporates AI-generated voices and Alpine folklore. Zorio's MITOPOIESI (2026) manipulates animal sounds with chthonic elements. Sonetto's Purezza e pericolo (2026) features urban audio from Pakistan, while Ponzini's 最小単位 (2024) includes recordings from the Vermenagna Valley. Tickets for the Villa and Gardens are €10, and €5 for Gardens only, with no reservations needed.
