HTW Fashion Design Presents "360 Degrees" Runway During Berlin Art Week
During Berlin Art Week, the Fashion Design Department of HTW Berlin staged a joint runway presentation titled "360 degrees," a concept intended to immerse spectators in each garment's construction, atmosphere, and underlying idea. The showcase unfolded across Fashionblock Berlin and the adjoining Atelierhaus, with support from PLATTE Berlin. Collections from the Creative Identity SS26 class appeared alongside selected graduates, curated by Prof. Anke Schlöder, who also handled production; Marcel Schlutt served as showrunner. Rather than a conventional catwalk, the event functioned as a multi-sensory dialogue linking textile, spatial design, and moving image. Cross-disciplinary collaborators included set designer Jamie Lee O'Shea, sound designers Rio Sierra and Andrea Zuliani, who orchestrated a responsive live sonic environment, and video designer Manu Escorihuela, responsible for visual narrative components. Photographer Marica Cambareri documented the full spectrum of graduate talent and forward-facing silhouette design. Hair and makeup were provided by Mud Studio Berlin, BSP Berlin, and several individual artists. The 4th Semester Creative Identity Summer 2026 class participated, as did Bachelor graduates. A running order was published at htw-running-order-2026.netlify.app. The presentation was described as one of the strongest student showcases witnessed by the source, and it placed Berlin's emerging design talent at the center of the city's art week programming.
