House in Vila Maia by José Adrião Arquitetos

In Campolide, Portugal, a new residence has been crafted by José Adrião Arquitetos within the working-class community of Vila Maia. Ana Grácio is overseeing the project, which includes contributions from Gonçalo Diniz, Leonardo Marchesi, Carlos Jorrim, and Diego Fortun. Spanning 411 m², the house is expected to be finished by 2026. Previously, the site housed the 'Barracão', a masonry building from the 1920s featuring a Marseille tile roof and dirt flooring, utilized for storage. The land was divided in 1889, resulting in the establishment of three villa communities: Amarante, Cabaço, and Maia. José Adrião leads the architectural design, while Ncrep handles structural engineering, and Daj - Estudos e Projetos manages electrical and mechanical systems.
