Holy Molly Restaurant Brand Identity: Condensed Serif Meets Calligraphic Script

architecture-design · 2026-06-27

Sofiia Oswald designed the Holy Molly restaurant brand identity around a tuxedoed waiter on horseback, rendered in engraving-style linework. The illustration functions both as a heraldic crest and a satire of fine dining. The background uses crumpled cream stock texture to mimic physical print. The logotype pairs condensed block serif "HOLY" with open calligraphic script "Molly" in black and cream only. The system extends to matchboxes, wine labels, and posters. Holy Molly launched in Bucharest in 2025.
