HILADA Arquitectos Completes 470 m² Casa LDM in Palmira, Valle del Cauca

Completed in 2023, Casa LDM is a 470 m² residence by HILADA Arquitectos situated outside Palmira, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, within the Lagos de Maracaibo country parcelación. Eduardo Ochoa and Laura Soto led the design, with Angélica Osorio Caicedo and Steven Ortiz on the design team. The site pairs elevated topography and unobstructed views toward the Valle del Cauca and the Cordillera Central with an L-shaped lake that partly encircles the house. Rather than simply occupying the lot, the scheme sets a precise relationship with its geography: it opens toward the distant landscape, integrates vegetation, controls solar incidence, and arranges its main rooms around the patio and exterior views. Arquitat served as general contractor. Structural engineering came from Solarte y Cía, electrical engineering from Jaime Soto, and MEP from INGECOPAL. Johana Mesa handled landscape architecture. Carlos Vélez photographed the project, curated by Valentina Díaz.
