HIGHLINE Milano Presents 'Guardare fino al cielo' at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

exhibition · 2026-10-11

From October 7 to November 2, 2026, HIGHLINE Milano will present 'Guardare fino al cielo' in the Sala degli Orologi and along the Skybridge of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan. Curated by Carla Gerbino, the installation features three distinct artistic voices: painter Letizia Prestipino, video artist Stefano Cozzi, and composer Giovanni Zof. The project is inspired by a quote from Karl Kraus: 'The closer one looks at a word, the farther it looks back.' This tension between proximity and distance, recognition and disorientation, shapes an experience that goes beyond mere sight to address the capacity to see. The central questions are: How do we recognize what we see? And to what extent do the images we encounter—or believe we remember—define who we are? These questions traverse various fields, though the source material does not specify which. The exhibition invites visitors to engage with the act of looking as a form of memory.
