High Line Plinth Unveils 62 Artist Proposals for 2029-2030 Commissions
The High Line Plinth in New York has revealed 62 proposals from artists for its upcoming monumental commissions, scheduled for 2029 and 2030. The public is invited to provide feedback on these projects online. Among the standout proposals are Michael Rakowitz's 'A Guide for the Perplexed', Laure Prouvost's 'DREAMING OF NO MORE FRONT TEARS', Ali Cherri's 'Apples in a White Bowl', and Enrico David's 'Sleepwalker: Honouring the Tired'. Established in 2018 at Gansevoort Street, the Plinth draws inspiration from London's Fourth Plinth. The High Line park itself was opened in phases from 2009 to 2019, and the list of participating artists also features Nina Chanel Abney, Firelei Báez, and Yinka Shonibare, among others.
