Hermès Foundation Presents Île/Mer/Froid Duo's First Belgian Exhibition
The Fondation d'entreprise Hermès will present the first personal exhibition of the French artist duo Île/Mer/Froid at La Verrière in Brussels, Belgium, from 10 September to 14 November 2026. The exhibition will feature sculptures, ceramics, woodworks, and textiles, with a central installation and around fifty other works, most of which are specially produced for the occasion. The duo's work is accompanied by pieces from ceramicist Richard Dewar, sculptors Daniel Dewar & Grégory Gicquel, photographer Marianne Marić, and painter Julien Meert. Île/Mer/Froid is a contemporary artist duo whose name evokes an insular, wintry atmosphere and playful associations. Their collaborative practice stems from a friendship between two artists. The exhibition marks a significant moment for the duo's recognition in Belgium.
