Hello Wood's rosy pink timber complex opens on former Zurich railway site

Hello Wood, a studio based in Budapest, has finalized Remise Rosa, a permanent timber structure spanning 2,500 sq m on a previously neglected railway site in Zurich. This three-story open-air facility features a restaurant, beer garden, entertainment zones, and areas for relaxation. The building, adorned in a rosy pink hue, is entirely made of cross-laminated timber (CLT) and was assembled in just five months using CNC prefabrication techniques. Active in Zurich since 2019, Hello Wood has completed projects like Urban Surf, June & Julie, and Fräulein Holle. CEO András Huszár describes Remise Rosa as 'the culmination of [the studio's] journey in the market,' while lead architect Balázs Szelecsényi notes that it is designed to evoke a sense of wonder in visitors.
