Heatherwick Studio and SPPARC Reveal First Phase of Olympia Redevelopment

Heatherwick Studio and SPPARC have successfully finished the initial phase of the redevelopment of Olympia, a historic exhibition center located in West London. Established in 1886, this site is being transformed into a vibrant cultural hub that will feature improved public areas, cultural institutions, hospitality options, and commercial spaces. A newly designed public canopy enhances pedestrian flow and showcases views of Olympia's iconic roof. The overall master plan, expected to be finalized by 2026 and 2027, focuses on better accessibility via streets, squares, and raised walkways. The canopy, which spans the exhibition halls, provides 1,000 square meters of public space supported by five elegantly curved steel arches. The project will also include a venue for 3,800 attendees, a theater with 1,575 seats, hotels, restaurants, and 550,000 square feet of office facilities.
