Heartstopper Forever: Netflix's rushed but lovely teen romance finale

Netflix releases Heartstopper Forever, a movie-length finale to the teen romance series based on Alice Oseman's graphic novels. The film follows Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) as they navigate high school's end and their future. Charlie delivers a powerful speech against bullying to become Head Boy. Elle (Yasmin Finney) commits to art and a move to Berlin, delivering a monologue on UK politicians' assault on the trans community. Tori (Jenny Walser) clarifies her relationship with Michael (Darragh Hand). Imogen (Rhea Norwood) redefines her friendship with Nick. Anna Maxwell Martin replaces Olivia Colman as Nick's mum. Wash Westmoreland directs, with cameos from Derek Jacobi, Eddie Marsan, and Thibault de Montalembert. Charlie founds a queer club at school. The finale premieres on Netflix on 17 July.
