HCCH Studio Designs Bothaus Coffee and Exhibition Space for Sudo Technology in Shanghai

HCCH Studio has completed Bothaus, a 300 m² reception and exhibition space for Sudo Technology, located on the ground floor of the company's office and robotics laboratory in a tower along the Yangpu waterfront in Shanghai. The project, slated for completion in 2026, was commissioned by Sudo Technology, a firm specializing in embodied intelligence, to serve both its staff and invited guests. The design team included Hao Chen, Chenchen Hu, Qisen Yang, Puchun Zhang, and Yazhou Ding, with photography by Qingyan Zhu. Curated by HAN Shuang, the project was submitted by the design team. At the outset, the client requested a 'low-tech feel' for the space—a brief that the architects found intriguing. Rather than a mere aesthetic preference, the request suggested a broader vision of the future in which technology becomes increasingly integrated into daily life and progressively less conspicuous.
