HAZE and Matt Weber Open 'Vanishing City' at Atelier Jolie; Owen Dippie Paints Six-Story Basquiat Mural Nearby
"Eric Haze & Matt Weber — Vanishing City," an exhibition at Atelier Jolie, located at 57 Great Jones Street, runs until December 30. This showcase connects HAZE's graffiti art with Weber's street photography from the 1970s. Nearby, Owen Dippie is crafting a nearly six-story mural of Jean-Michel Basquiat, known for his photorealistic artistry yet still not widely recognized in New York. Additionally, WHAAM! features Charlie Ahearn's "New Paintings" until October 23, while "Vandals to Vanguard" can be seen at BronxArtSpace until October 24. This week's street-art interview highlights various artists, accompanied by photographs from Jaime Rojo and contributions from HASH, 1984 YO, and Friends, along with references to previous BSA articles.
