Harry Nuriev Reimagines Baccarat's Classic Chandelier with Everyday Objects
Designer Harry Nuriev has collaborated with Baccarat to reinterpret the historic Zénith chandelier. The Russian-born architect and founder of Crosby Studios replaced traditional crystal components with over 250 utilitarian items such as pens, padlocks, and charging cables. This project, part of his ongoing work with the crystal manufacturer, envisions a future scarcity of materials. Nuriev describes his approach as 'transformism' rather than recycling. The updated chandelier was displayed at his Paris showroom in the Sixth Arrondissement.
