Hari Park on Presence, Oriental Painting, and Upcoming K-ART Eurasia Busan Fair
Hari Park, an artist from Seoul with a background in Oriental Painting, explores themes of 'purposelessness' and abstract aesthetics through East Asian materials and mother-of-pearl. Her 2018 piece, 'Towangseong Falls,' is inspired by a frozen waterfall and exemplifies her artistic vision. Park's interdisciplinary approach is shaped by her varied experiences, including collaborations in dance, acting, and design, along with trips to Europe from 2018 to early 2020. Influenced by filmmakers like Leos Carax and Krzysztof Kieślowski, she returned to art in 2017 with her first solo exhibition. She discovered contemporary dance at ARKO in Seoul and later revisited Ohad Naharin's choreography live on September 13, 2025. Park earned 2nd prize in the 2021 Quantum Art Contest and will showcase her work at the K-ART Eurasia Busan International Art Fair this December.
