Hanji House at Maison&Objet 2026 Showcases Contemporary Korean Paper Design
The Korea Craft & Design Foundation (KCDF) is set to present Hanji House from September 10 to 14, 2026, at the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition center during Maison&Objet. This event highlights Hanji, an ancient Korean papermaking method, showcasing creations from seven companies: SWNA, Hanji Park Materials Lab, Fides International Co., Toolpress, Somidang, Marquage G, and Pulbat. SWNA will feature furniture and lighting that blend Hanji with metal and stone, while other exhibitors will offer traditional Hanji crafts, stationery, and lighting options. This exhibition comes ahead of UNESCO's decision regarding Hanji's inclusion on the Intangible Cultural Heritage list. KCDF president Kyungbae Kim praised Hanji for its craftsmanship and sustainability. It will be located in Hall 7's Signature gallery.
