Guto Requena Unveils 'Encontros' Sculpture in Sorocaba

Brazilian architect Guto Requena, through his studio Estudio Guto Requena, has created a new public artwork titled 'Encontros' in Sorocaba, Brazil. The sculpture serves as a tribute to Requena's hometown, whose name derives from the Tupi-Guarani word for 'torn land.' The project, completed in 2025, falls under the categories of cultural architecture and temporary installations. The creative direction was led by Requena, with coordination by Camila de Oliveira and diagrams and modeling by Orion Campos. The work was curated by Susanna Moreira, and photographs were taken by Ana Mello.
