Guido van Helten Completes Four-Wall Triptych in Salerno's Rione delle Fornelle
In Salerno's historic district, artist Guido van Helten has wrapped up a stunning triptych on the main walls of Rione delle Fornelle. This piece is part of a larger project involving four walls for the Fondazione Alfonso Gatto. The artwork is inspired by photos van Helten took during his visits from November to February 2026. Partnering with Greenpino, who has a strong bond with the area’s painted walls, he used over 20 rolls of film, developing and scanning them right there before putting the images up. He expresses gratitude to the local women, the Fornellesse, and mentions residents who shared meals with him, highlighting their role in the mural. This triptych is a unique addition to the Muri d'Autore – Parco della Poesia di Strada project, which showcases poetry and art from various creators.
