GSS arquitectos completes House in Quinta do Perú, Portugal

GSS arquitectos, led by Gonçalo Salazar de Sousa, has completed a 357 m² house in Quinta do Perú, Sesimbra, Portugal, in 2022. The low, elongated volume is placed on a nearly flat lot surrounded by dense vegetation, leaning against the northern edge to free the southern land for a continuous garden with a sunroom and pool. The house opens to this constructed emptiness, where architecture dissolves and nature becomes the backdrop. The project team included Tiago Lomelino, with MEP by proM&E Consulting, structural engineering by PPE — Planeamento e Projectos de Engenharia, and construction by Constriceuta.
