Group Reading of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein at GAMeC

On Wednesday, July 1st at 8:30 PM, GAMeC in Bergamo hosts a group reading session focused on Mary Shelley's 1818 novel Frankenstein, curated by OHT [Office for Human Theater] and led by Filippo Andreatta. The event explores the less-known pages of the novel, centering on the creature's voice as a marginalized figure seeking self-discovery. A musical performance by Marco Pasinetti, in collaboration with SonOrobie, introduces the reading. Pasinetti, a guitarist and composer, blends rock and blues roots with jazz and improvisation. The session investigates the concept of the monstrous, drawing on its Greek etymology oscillating between horrible and wonderful, and argues that monstrosity is not confined to the creature but can also be found in its creator Frankenstein, in words, and in the landscape.
