Gregory Douglass Announces New Album AMATEUR, Releases Single Bespoke

Gregory Douglass, a singer-songwriter from Vermont, has revealed his eleventh studio album titled AMATEUR, marking his first set of original songs in almost ten years. This album features arrangements centered on piano, strings, bass, and vocals, delving into topics such as queer identity, open relationships, childhood experiences, artistic resilience, and self-acceptance. The lead single, Bespoke, serves as a soft entry into the album, showcasing ethereal piano, delicate strings, and emotive vocals. It navigates the delicate balance between intimacy and illusion, reflecting on a complicated relationship with a muse and confronting internalized shame. Douglass, who has independently released 10 albums and toured worldwide, had his song Alibis featured in Netflix's The Rain in 2019. The album's themes were influenced by his time in Palm Springs, California, and singles will be released throughout 2026, leading up to the album's debut in November.
