Green Heart Commercial Complex and A4X Art Center by E PLUS DESIGN Opens in Chongqing

The Green Heart Commercial Complex and A4X Art Center, designed by E PLUS DESIGN, opened in Chongqing's LUXERIVERS development. The 22,535 m² project integrates retail, art, and public space around the concept of 'a boundless mountain city,' blending Chongqing's hilly urban fabric with everyday vitality and public art. Key architects Fu Li and Coco Zhou led the design, with contributions from numerous firms including Z+T Studio (landscape), TEKTONN ARCHITECTS (A4X Art Center interior), and Brandston Partnership Inc. (lighting). The complex features a Green Heart Ring structure engineered by XinY Structural Consultants Ltd. The project aims to offer a human-centric alternative to fast-paced social media-era commercial typologies, emphasizing place-rootedness and long-term evolution.
