Grand Ji Hotel Makes Debut at Paris Design Week as First Chinese Hotel Brand to Participate Under Its Own Name
During Paris Design Week, which took place from September 10 to 19, H World Group introduced its upscale hotel brand, Grand Ji Hotel, at the China Creative Power pavilion. The design, overseen by Kuang Ming (Ray) Chou, reflects a serene aesthetic influenced by the Taoist principle of 大象无形. The inaugural hotel is situated in Hangzhou, China, prioritizing an enriched visitor experience devoid of conventional luxury. Instead of a front desk, guests are greeted with a tea ceremony, and technology is integrated effortlessly. The design features five Eastern elements: water, clouds, mountains, pine, and tea. This event marks a significant milestone as it is the first instance of a Chinese hotel brand participating in Paris Design Week under its own name. H World Group manages over 13,000 hotels worldwide.
