Graham Baba Architects Completes Timber-and-Concrete Westwood Golf Clubhouse in Yakima, Washington
In Yakima, Washington, the revitalized nine-hole Westwood Golf course now features a 12,000-square-foot clubhouse and driving range. The two-story structure, crafted by Graham Baba Architects, showcases mass timber panels, steel columns, and board-formed concrete walls. The ground level houses a restaurant, bar, pro shop, and 14 driving-range bays, while the upper floor offers an additional 14 bays, a second bar, and an event space complete with a terrace. High-tech simulators are also provided. Beneath the building lies a golf cart garage and an extra kitchen. A green roof and a stormwater management system direct rainwater into a pond. Contributors to the project include Artisan Inc, Berger Partnership, Harriott Valentine, Routh Engineering, Leslie Engineering, Sparklab, Kareem Tai, Nate Monik, and Gibbs Graphics.
