Goran Tomcic Brings Sequin Heartstrings and New Performance to MOCA London

exhibition · 2026-10-20

Goran Tomcic, an artist originally from Croatia, is set to present a London edition of his Heartstrings series at MOCA London, running from 26 October to 28 November 2026. The opening reception will take place on 25 October from 2 PM to 4 PM. This exhibition showcases reflective sculptures made of sequins and includes a new performance, featuring thousands of hand-stitched gold and silver sequins suspended on fishing line. Tomcic incorporates everyday materials to create a handmade feel that recalls his childhood memories in Croatia. Previous exhibitions have included Heartstrings – Istanbul, Heartstrings – Berlin, and Heartstrings – Karaköy Underpass (2025). His other project, Pompom Nets, utilizes colorful acrylic pompoms in various public and performance contexts around the world, highlighting the reflective quality in London.
