GoPro-Wearing Sheepadoodle Films Wedding Cocktail Hour in Wisconsin
A 9-year-old sheepadoodle named Swayze wore a GoPro on his harness during a Wisconsin wedding's cocktail hour, filming guests as they greeted him. Emily and Josh, the bride and groom, wanted their dog to have a role in the celebration; Emily got the idea after learning a camera could be mounted on a dog's harness. Videographer Sebastian of Motion Capture Productions rigged the harness and sent Swayze to mingle while recording. Emily posted the footage to Instagram with the caption "Swayze cocktail hour cam," calling it "probably one of the best ideas we had for the wedding," noting the couple would be too busy to properly greet every guest and that Swayze would excel at making people feel special. The video has drawn over 236,000 likes, prompting Emily to post part two and part three. She told The Dodo that Swayze is "goofy, comforting, so sweet," joking that he is "just a person in a dog costume" because he seems to understand what people say. Emily said the dog's point of view captured funny and cinematic moments, including footage she will cherish with her grandmother, who recently turned 91. She added that although the couple could not spend quality time with every guest, Swayze greeted everyone, and everyone greeted him.
