Glenda León's Sonic Metaphysics at Azkuna Zentroa

Cuban artist Glenda León is showcasing her most significant solo exhibition, 'Un árbol cae en el bosque', at Azkuna Zentroa in Bilbao from June 18 to September 27, 2026. Curated by León alongside Fernando Pérez and Iván de la Nuez, the exhibition delves into contemporary existence through various mediums, including photography, painting, installation, and video, while integrating elements of music, dance, and literature. León provokes thought on the contrasts between the artificial and the natural, as well as the role of silence in fostering deeper insights. The exhibition features various thematic areas, such as 'Mundo político' and 'Efecto mariposa', culminating in the performance/installation 'Conversio'. This marks León's inaugural solo display in Bilbao, following her involvement in a group show in 2019.
