Giusy Lauriola's Resin Paintings Evoke Memory and Nature

Italian artist Giusy Lauriola, based in Rome, creates atmospheric paintings using acrylic, enamel, and resin that blur the boundaries between memory, emotion, and nature. Her work shifted from urban themes to interior landscapes, focusing on luminous layers that capture light. In 2010, she began working with resin, which became a key element in her practice. Her recent series 'Atmosfere Sospese' features tiny human figures in vast landscapes, emphasizing scale and presence. Lauriola's work has been exhibited at MACRO Museum, Museo di San Salvatore in Lauro, Aranciera di San Sisto, La Vaccheria in Rome, Museo Correale di Terranova in Sorrento, and through Italian Cultural Institutes in Damascus and Tokyo. She was a finalist for the Singulart International Women's Day Award.
