Giulio Patrizi's 'Geologia della memoria' Opens at Palazzo Chigi-Albani

On July 18, 2026, the Scuderie di Palazzo Chigi-Albani in Soriano nel Cimino, Italy, will open 'Geologia della memoria', a solo exhibition by artist and designer Giulio Patrizi. Curated with a critical text by Roberta Melasecca, the show features reliefs, stelae, friezes, and complex sign systems that explore memory through stratification. Patrizi, born in 1980, blends his background in design, visual art, and teaching (IED Rome, Accademia di Viterbo, Sichuan Normal University) with historical preservation. The exhibition draws on Alois Riegl's distinction between optical and haptic perception, inviting viewers to engage both from a distance and up close.
