Giorgio Armani Unveils Fashion Archives at NOMAD Hamptons

NOMAD made its US debut at the Watermill Center in Water Mill, New York, hosting the second chapter of "Giorgio Armani/Unveiled," a traveling exhibition linking fashion, art, and design. Curated by Abby Bangser, former artistic director of Frieze Art Fairs and founder of Object & Thing, the installation features artwork by basket maker Jonathan Kline and floral designer Ariel Dearie within an Armani/Casa-furnished interior. Thirteen reissued looks from Armani/Archivio (1979–1994) are displayed, extending the capsule introduced during Milan Design Week. The showcase marks Armani's official partnership with NOMAD Hamptons. The exhibition continues a multi-decade collaboration with Watermill Center founder Robert Wilson, highlighted by past theatrical collaborations and Armani's 2000 Guggenheim retrospective. NOMAD founder Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte praised the Watermill Center as a site where architecture, landscape, and artistic experimentation converge. Outdoors, artist Rachel Hayes created a large-scale interactive textile installation on the South Lawn. The exhibition runs through June 28.
