Ginori 1735 Launches Fortunae Porcelain Collection Inspired by the Game of Goose
Ginori 1735, the Italian porcelain brand, has introduced a new line called Fortunae, which draws inspiration from the classic Game of Goose boards that were popular at the Medici court 500 years ago. In this game, players rolled dice to move along a spiral path while dodging obstacles like wells and prisons. Fortunae takes elements from these original boards, like lucky charms and geese, and turns them into functional items. Highlights of the collection include a red-bordered ashtray featuring a horseshoe, dessert plates with cornicello designs, and a small oval box with a celadon dragonfly on top. A whimsical jar shaped like a gander and a round tray that doubles as a game board complete the set. This collection will launch just in time for the holiday season, perfect for those seeking a bit of luck.
