Gieo Architecture Renovates Tho Tang Home as "The Summer Path" Residential Project
Gieo Architecture has completed The Summer Path, a residential renovation and extension in Tho Tang, Phu Tho, Vietnam, that turns the roof of an existing house into a new floor. The 1,700 m² project, dated 2025, links the building's preexisting values with a new mode of dwelling. It sits in a commercial neighborhood where the ground floor has been progressively taken over by commercial activity, warehouses and urban infrastructure. Vu Ngoc Hau served as principal architect, with a design team of Hoang Trung Thanh and Le Thu Phuong and a technical team of Do Van Hoan and the G20 Team. Lasen Landscape handled landscape architecture and Home Viet was general contractor. Toto and Vietceramics supplied products. Triệu Chiến photographed the project, curated by Miwa Negoro.
