Georg Jensen unveils playful silver games at Copenhagen's Secret Garden

At the 2026 edition of 3 Days of Design, Georg Jensen unveiled a 'Secret Garden' at Højbro Plads in Copenhagen to introduce 'Georg Jensen at Play.' This new collection features silver and stone dice, a Mikado set inspired by woodlands, a spinning top, a snail whistle, a yo-yo, and a reimagined Scandinavian game called 'Toad,' previously known as 'Kubb.' Creative director Paula Gerbase, who took on her role in 2024, drew inspiration from founder Georg Jensen's childhood experiences in the nearby woods and his playful, collaborative spirit. The collection is designed to make silver more tactile and engaging, encouraging interaction. Gerbase highlighted the archive's whimsical items, such as lipstick cases and a silver wheelbarrow, which inspired the new designs. The 'Secret Garden' was strategically located near the statue of Absalon, the founder of Copenhagen, adding historical depth. Gerbase aims to revive the brand's heritage of eccentricity and openness to chance, embracing imperfection and authentic experiences in her designs.
