In New York, carpet brands Tai Ping and Edward Fields have launched a collaborative flagship showroom, located at 150 E 58th St, Floor 11, within the A&D Building, with design by Gensler. This innovative space merges Tai Ping's East Asian aesthetics with Edward Fields' midcentury design, departing from conventional showroom layouts. According to managing director Kate Judd, the aim is to create a serene and inviting atmosphere. The entrance features vintage midcentury doors, deep mauve Venetian plaster, and travertine mosaic flooring. A vibrant reception area showcases a custom tapestry commemorating Tai Ping's 70th anniversary. The main showroom highlights white oak flooring and a pom bar with a whirlpool-like rug, while the lounge offers complimentary beverages and plush velvet seating for guests to enjoy the collections.
