Gensler and Ege Carpets Launch Our Planet Landscape-Inspired Carpet Collection
Gensler, the architecture and design firm, teamed up with Denmark's Ege Carpets to create a new collection called Our Planet, which draws inspiration from natural landscapes. This collection visually interprets the American landscape, moving from the western mountains to the eastern fields and waterways. Emma Chang, Gensler's design director, explained that the design offers two viewpoints: up close, it focuses on textures and terrain, while from above, it reveals a flowing network. Aimed at commercial interiors, the collection includes wall-to-wall carpets, planks, and rugs, crafted in Denmark from wool and recycled polyamide six, with various colors and backing options.
