GENER8ION Brings Free Immersive Installation GOD HATES SPACE to Grand Palais During Art Basel
A twelve-metre double-sided screen fills the Rotonde d'Antin at the Grand Palais, showing the same film on both faces while sound collides with the monument's architecture. The free installation, titled GOD HATES SPACE, comes from GENER8ION, the duo of composer Surkin and filmmaker Romain Gavras, and marks their first presentation in France. It extends LOVE & TEARS, the album released in June, whose track God Hates Space features 070 Shake and forms one of its opening chapters. The work continues the dystopian fiction GENER8ION has developed since Storm: a group of teenagers, a forest, a rocket, and a future that does not improve. Art Basel invited the project, partnering with Live Nation for the first time. Entry requires no fair ticket; visitors use entrance 4 and must reserve in advance. The installation runs 22–25 October 2026 at Avenue Winston-Churchill, 75008, open 9h30–20h with a Friday nocturne until 22h30. One wing of the Grand Palais opens free while Art Basel packs the nave.
