GAMeC Bergamo's 'Tabula Plena' Transforms Museum into Participatory Knowledge Hub
At Palazzo della Ragione, GAMeC Bergamo has launched 'Tabula Plena,' transforming the museum into a hub for shared knowledge. This exhibition, which will be open for five months, aligns with the museum's educational initiatives. It showcases a structure designed by Fosbury Architecture and emoji sculptures created by Claire Fontaine, alongside contributions from Adelita Husni Bey, Sabrina D'Alessandro, and Numero Cromatico. Fosbury's design features three permanent laboratories and a space for listening and reading, adorned with glyphs from thirteen schools in Bergamo. Fontaine's oversized emojis challenge the concept of NFTs. The laboratories explore topics such as algorithms, rare vocabulary, and critical pedagogy. Director Lorenzo Giusti describes the exhibition as part of GAMeC's evolution into a 'cognitive residence,' with the title 'Tabula Plena' emphasizing that learners bring their own worlds.
