Gallery Representation and Museum Appointments Highlight Recent Art World Developments

Several significant developments have occurred in the contemporary art world. Sculptor Alma Allen, originally from Utah and now based in Mexico, has joined the roster of Perrotin gallery. Allen previously represented the United States at the Venice Biennale during the Trump administration, a decision that led his former galleries, Mendes Wood and Olney Gleason, to end their representation. The Brooklyn Museum awarded its 2026 UOVO Prize to Keisha Scarville, a Brooklyn-based artist.
