Galleria Raffaella De Chirico Presents 'Anonimo' Without Names or Biographies in Turin

During Turin Art Week, Galleria Raffaella De Chirico returns to Studio Manfredi at Via della Misericordia 3 with a temporary exhibition titled 'Anonimo'. The show features works presented without artist names, biographies, or captions, stripping away all identifying and contextual information. The gallery describes this as 'a small exercise,' but it creates a deliberate short-circuit in the usual mechanisms of art viewing. Visitors typically bring preconceptions based on reputation, market value, and critical narratives; 'Anonimo' removes that baggage before the encounter. The project has become a recurring fixture in the gallery's calendar, and this year's iteration challenges the gaze by eliminating signatures and biographies. The exhibition runs during Turin Art Week, though specific dates are not provided. By withholding information, the gallery forces viewers to engage directly with the artworks, questioning the role of context in appreciation. This radical approach aligns with contemporary debates about authorship and the market's influence on perception. The gallery's decision to occupy Studio Manfredi again underscores its commitment to experimental formats. No further details about the artists or works are available due to the anonymous nature of the display.
