Galleria Nazionale della Liguria reopens with new acquisitions and redesigned layout
The Galleria Nazionale della Liguria, located in Genoa at Palazzo Spinola di Pellicceria, has officially reopened with a newly curated permanent exhibition that highlights recent state acquisitions and donations. Since becoming part of the Musei Nazionali di Genova in 2022, it is set to move to Palazzo Raggio in 2025. After a year of renovations, the venue now features artworks spanning from the Middle Ages to the mid-20th century. Notable pieces include 'Presentazione di Gesù al Tempio' (c. 1430) by Donato de' Bardi and 'Giuditta con la testa di Oloferne' (c. 1638-1639) by Guido Reni. This reopening coincides with the conclusion of Alessandra Guerrini's tenure. The exhibition, which includes works from the Collezione Eraldo Valle, is accessible until September 12, but only in the afternoons.
