Galerist Philipp Pflug zeigt Kunst auf Obststand in Frankfurter Kleinmarkthalle

Philipp Pflug, a gallery owner, has continued his concept of a non-traditional gallery space by showcasing the exhibition "Fruits of the Market" at a fruit and vegetable stand in Frankfurt's Kleinmarkthalle. This exhibition features over 20 works from both local and international artists, including Marcel Walldorf, E. M. C. Collard, Thomas Bayrle, Jiří Georg Dokoupil, Alicja Kwade, Jagoda Bednarsky, Felix Kultau, and Sebastian Stöhrer. After closing his gallery on Berliner Straße more than a year ago, Pflug has been displaying art in various locations, such as an empty villa by the Main, a private garden in the Taunus, a design furniture store in Berlin, and his home on Römerberg. The stand, 118–119, is temporarily available as the fruit vendor Friesers is on a week-long holiday. The signage for the artworks was created by the stand owner. A highlight of the exhibition is Douglas Cooper's "Frankfurt Panorama," a large city drawing from 1996 that the artist donated to the market hall.
