Galerie OM Opens in Berlin with Inaugural Exhibition Partie Une

On May 28, Galerie OM, a new space in Berlin specializing in collectible design, launched its first exhibition, Partie Une. Established by Moana Thies and Oscar Gröne, with Swedish interior architect Julian Zacharias Eide at the creative helm, the gallery operates on a commission basis instead of holding a fixed inventory. Situated in central Berlin, it aspires to be a blend of gallery, salon, and cultural hub, prioritizing atmosphere and social engagement. Curated by Eide, Partie Une showcases works from renowned figures like Pierre Chareau, Jean Prouvé, and Ettore Sottsass, alongside contemporary talents such as Martin Margiela and Fabio Novembre. Thies particularly favors a striking white python table. Future plans include pop-up exhibitions and cultural events in Paris and Milan, with the next show, Partie Deux, dedicated to wall tapestries spanning the 18th to 21st centuries, featuring commissions from Weberei and New Rug Studio.
